Annual Global Peace Workshop 2018, South Sudan

The objective of the workshop was to examine how peacebuilding, transformative mediation for social cohesion and international migration processes support and empower people living through conflict, by offering practical tools, shaping and influencing public opinion, or reducing isolation.

We critically looked at the roles played by conflict-affected people and external partners, where power lies, how change happens and what the contributions of the youth in South Sudan can be.

Participants through discussions with the Africa Affine Partners organization committee will chose the area they would like to work on in detail. Academics and practitioners then guide participants through the key issues that emerge in each theme in fast-paced, interactive sessions using role plays, case studies and in-depth discussion and dialogue opportunities that were fun and engaging.
